Church Ministries

At St. George’s Baptist Church, our ministries exist to help every person grow in Christ, build meaningful community and live out the gospel in everyday life. Rooted in Scripture and driven by a heart for service, each ministry seeks to equip believers, reach our neighbours and extend the love of Jesus in practical and transformative ways. The ministries below reflect our commitment to serving God, strengthening His church and blessing our community.

Benevolence Ministry

The Benevolence Ministry helps to take care of members who are in need.
By helping out with groceries, gas, medication, clothing and a stipend to elderly persons, we are grateful that we can show the love of Christ to many.

We also host an Annual Children’s Christmas party and a Back-to-School Program in which we collect donations of much-needed books and school supplies. In addition, our Bethel Soup Kitchen lovingly provides lunches to many people in need twice per week. This ministry calls those who desire to give.

Media Ministry

The Media Ministry uses technology to spread Christ-focused faith content, to enhance and make publicly available the worship experience, to disseminate live and pre-recorded faith-building church activities, and to help develop the nation through publicly broadcasted information that can positively impact and support it. This is achieved by producing and distributing content through various platforms like live streaming, social media, and podcasts, which help the church reach a broader audience, engage with the community beyond physical walls, and provide resources for ongoing spiritual growth.

Prayer Ministry

The Prayer Ministry is dedicated to effective prayer, fasting and intercession for the needs of the church and its members. There are various times allotted for these prayer times, which are seen as very vital for the life of the church.

The Scriptures tell us..  Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” (Philippians 4:6)

It also tells us to “pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17)

The Prayer Ministry endeavours to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, through prayer, fasting and intercession, so that His Church will have all its needs supplied.

Prayer and Fasting: First Sunday of each month
Prayer Time: Every Thursday @ 5:30 PM
Zoom Morning Prayer:  Every Wednesday @ 5 AM
Half-Night of Prayer: Every 4th Thursday, 1hr of prayer right after Bible study
